How To Choose A Wedding Band

For Ladies and gentlemen, the simplest way is to fall in love with a wedding ring in our window and have it resized (a complimentary service) by our Goldsmith.

With a selection of contoured, grooved, diamond set and textured finished wedding bands, our Goldsmith can adjust and resize our stock rings, pictured above, in the same day you purchase them.

If we don’t have the ring you require, we can order them in, in your size, style and choice of metal, or we can have them made. With a Goldsmith on site and after a consultation, we can normally give you a cost and estimated date to complete within an hour.

To Consider When Purchasing Or Commissioning A Wedding Band

• If you already have an engagement ring it is advisable to use the same metal in your wedding band. Metals can wear differently and colours can vary.
• What you do for a living can impact the style, some jobs do not allow stones or some may be harder on the hands so a rub over set may be preferable to a claw set to secure your stones.
• Is your engagement ring ‘wed fit’, will a straight band sit against it without a gap or without rubbing against the setting? Most wedding band will have different depths, if the engagement and wedding band are different they will not sit together.
• What style, finish, stones and width suits your engagement ring. The choice can be overwhelming (Check out our inspiration page for ideas).

A Guide To The Process Of Ordering A Wedding Band

• We will ascertain the metal of your engagement ring. Check if it is wed fit and that a straight band will sit against it. (Contoured bands are available if not).
• With a selection of silver bands in our most popular profiles, widths and weights you can try on different styles to determine your aesthetic and what suits your skin tone and finger size.
• Your ring size will be measured and all your information will be recorded on our special order packet and on a compliment slip so that you can review the details at home.
• Once we have established your choice, our Goldsmith will give you a price. Gold will change in value continuously so if you are happy, a deposit is taken of half, that locks in the price. If you need some time to think a payment can be made over the phone. We also offer 5% discount if you buy both rings with us.
• Once Clive has the rings finished, we will message you and on collection you will pay the final payment.
• Any alterations can be made to the size, this is a complimentary service. We will also polish your engagement ring before the wedding.
