I'd been in before looking at options for an engagement ring and decided to revisit with my partner. We spent best part of an hour being taken through all of our options, possibilities and trying on different styles. Clive made it clear he was happy to make any wish a reality, my other half selected a stone that was already set in a ring they had for sale. We also decided on a halo setting and a different type of band from what was available on the day.

There was no pressure, he told us to go away, have a coffee and get back to him if we were sure on a decision. Shortly after I was back in putting down a deposit. 8 days later I received a call to say it was ready and I couldn't be be happier with the result.

I love the fact that the ring has been handmade to our specification by a local independent jewellers. I would encourage anyone to at least stop in and see what they have to offer!

  I am so grateful to everyone at Cathedral Lane Jewellers. I lost my grandmother and she left me her engagement ring and some other jewellery. The ring was badly damaged and the other jewellery was broken and not something that I would wear. I took the items to the team and they discussed what I would like, giving options and advice with compassion and great knowledge. Clive then worked his magic! He is nothing short of a genius! The ring is back to its original beauty and he made me a bangle and cuff which are exquisite - I know it wasn’t an easy task to melt down different items made of different golds and combine them to make something so beautiful. I cannot thank him and his team enough. It means so much to me to be able to wear my Nan’s jewellery, and the whole team made me feel comfortable and special throughout.

  I would like to thank Clive and his team, for the fantastic work on my engagement ring!!! One can only imagine my horror when my engagement ring broke after about 20 years. Luckily I had a second wedding band(new) Clive and myself designed new ring using my diamond and new wedding band. After waiting with anticipation 2.5 weeks later I pick it up, I’m absolutely delighted with the workmanship. Thank you so much!!

  Clive repaired a very precious personal ring, which I was unable to collect, and because of recent issues with Royal mail didn’t really want posted. Clive immediately insisted on delivering it to my door, some 20 miles away…. This really was above and beyond in terms of customer care.
