In this instance, our client wanted to replace her 9-carat  gold engagement ring with a more durable metal. She had several issues with the claws, and after a consultation, we decided to keep the ring’s design unchanged but a more secure wave style setting. This allowed Clive to supply and fit the diamond exactly as it appeared before. Clive, our goldsmith, remade the ring in Platinum to securely hold the new diamond, ensuring this stunning piece can be worn for years to come. As the new shank matched her original one, the customer retained the look of her original ring, and because of the sentimental value the 9ct gold shank was returned to our client.
